Alumni association

The alumni association is open to all fully initiated members of Alpha Tau Omega.  One of the goals is to locate alumni that we have lost contact with. The association’s email address is atochapterhouse@gmail.com.  In addition to email, the association also has a linked in page and in the near future an active website.  On Facebook there is not separate account, but there are several groups such as “ATO Friends of Eta Gamma,” : Alpha Tau Omega-Eta Gamma ASU 60s and 70s,” “ATO Family,” and “Ladies of Eta Gamma.”  We ask that each alumni donate $20 per year to support the organization’s ability to host free tailgates at ASTATE sporting events, as well as support the active chapter.  National currently charges the chapter $1,694 annually for Congress as well as costs associated with sending the Worthy Master to the Presidents’ retreat, which is a required event.  Additionally, National HQs failed to properly file the annual tax return for the group exemption which caused the chapter to lose its tax exempt status.  Given that it will cost $600 to get it reinstated, the alumni association should probably pay that bill and assist in getting the tax-exempt status reinstated.
